Local Flair Meets Global Value: Columbus-Based Brands to take center stage in New Superstore

COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 27, 2024 — Target Corporation (NYSE: TGT) is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its new superstore in Columbus’ vibrant Short North Arts District on March 30, 2024. Located at 742 N High St, the superstore will throw its doors open to customers at 10 am. This new location is not just a store; it’s a commitment to merge Target’s renowned shopping experience with the local charm and vibrancy of Ohio’s capital by featuring products from Columbus-based artists and manufacturers.

Strategically located in the Short North District, this store will provide convenient access to a significant population of Columbus residents. By providing a tailored shopping experience designed to meet the needs of a diverse range of customers, from residents and visitors to the student populations of the nearby universities, the goal is to make the “Target Run” as easy as possible with the right homegrown products.

The superstore is a stone’s throw away from the University District and Ohio State University. “This prime location ensures that essentials, trendy fashion, and home goods are just a hop, skip, and a jump away for the bustling student community and academic professionals alike, ” said Kelly Pergram, regional vice president at Target. “We’re here to celebrate local spirit while offering the variety and value Target is known for.”

Spanning over 150,000 square feet, the new Target superstore will feature an extensive range of products, including fashion, electronics, and home decor, as well as a comprehensive grocery section highlighting local Ohio products. “With our redesigned store layout and expanded space, we’re bringing more of what Columbus loves while incorporating features that build on our commitment to sustainability, community and helping all families discover the joy of everyday life,” said John Mulligan, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Target.

The community is invited to the grand opening celebration on March 30, 2024, which will feature exclusive deals, limited edition offers and giveaways. Additionally, the store will showcase artwork and installations from Columbus artists.
